Vehicle Graphics
Vehicle signs are a great way of taking your plain coloured vehicle from the showroom and turning it into your own mobile billboard to advertise your organisation. It wasn't long ago that graphics and text on the sides of vehicles were produced by a signwriter using little more than a paintbrush and a few pots of paint. However, in recent years, vehicle graphics have enables even the smallest companies to drive vehicles that display high-quality text, graphics and images to advertise their company.
Vinyl graphics
he majority of cars, vans and lorries in the UK use vinyl graphics to display text and images on their vehicles. Vinyl graphics used self-adhesive lettering, covered in a single top sheet, to enable the text to be applied to the vehicle and remain in place when the top sheet is removed.
Digital printing
Digital printing enables vehicle graphics to include complex and detailed photographs, logos, images and a more complete range of colours than standard vinyl graphics.
Durability
Good-quality vehicle signs should last a minimum of about five years, and they should be fairly resistant to scratches, rain, sun damage and general weathering. Digital printing off in involves printing directly onto an adhesive film of vinyl and then covering the completed artwork, with a second layer of clear vinyl to give increased protection against weathering and abrasion.
Limtations
Vehicle graphics are only really used for long-term advertising campaigns of several years or more. Adding graphics to a vehicle will often affect its resale value, unless all evidence of the graphics can be easily and completely removed. Vinyl graphics have the advantage of being able to leave little evidence of having ever been applied to a vehicle once they are removed and the vehicle is cleaned.
