Brand loyalty starts with great products and services, or at least the illusion of great products and services. Before everything else, you must work hard to develop a brand that has benefits, quality and price that your customers will enjoy. This doesn't mean that you have to provide the best, but you must make your customers believe that you are.

In an age where information is everywhere, your less-than-great products will soon be discredited in every forum, magazine and review site in the market. Create great products and services, and then continue to create great products and services, and your brand will soon be associated with lasting quality.

Even if your products are entirely up-to-scratch, you can still get great brand loyalty if your provide great customer service. Bizarrely enough, it sometimes helps to have the old problem with your products and services along the way. Consider this...you buy a product and it works so well that you never even think about it. It does its job day-in day-out and it's 100% reliable, to the point that you take it for granted. Now imagine the same product developing a fault. The customer will be inconvenienced, but your prompt, polite and all-round outstanding customer service will give you the opportunity to correct the problem, and show off your otherwise unseen ability to provide great service.

Brand Loyalty Through Incentives


Without grovelling, it can be very beneficial to reward loyalty with incentives and discounts on future purchases. Customers feel as though they're getting the red-carpet treatment and it enforces their respect for your company.
